Vital Statistics
The Vital Statistics Division keeps birth and death records back to the year 1908. If a person was
born or has died inFayette County, the record is available from the vital statistics office. The office
provides certified birth certificates, which are used for passports, age verification, SSI benefits,
genealogy studies or insurance.
Certified copies are available for $22 per copy for birth and death certificates.
